Disbug User Roles and Permissions


Disbug assigns different levels of access and control to users through its user role system. Here's a breakdown of the typical roles and their associated permissions.

Admin

  • Full Control: Admins have the highest level of access and can manage all aspects of projects and workspaces within Disbug.
  • Permissions:
    • Create projects and workspaces
    • Modify project and workspace properties (name, settings, etc.)
    • Manage user roles and permissions within projects and workspaces
    • View, edit, and delete all issues within projects
    • Access to all reports and issues data

Reporter

  • Issue Reporting: Reporters primarily focus on identifying and reporting issues within projects.
  • Permissions:
    • Create and submit issues
    • Edit issue properties.
    • May or may not have the ability to assign issues to specific users.
    • Limited or no access to project and workspace property modifications (similar to developer)

Developer

  • Issue Creation and Management: Developers can directly create and report issues within projects associated with their account.
  • Permissions:
    • Create and submit issues
    • Edit issue properties.
    • View all issues within the project.

Guest User

  • Limited Access: Guest users have the most restricted level of access and can primarily focus on reporting issues.
  • Permissions:
    • Create and submit issues
    • No ability to edit or modify issues once submitted
    • No access to view or modify project or workspace properties
